"Give instruction to a youth about his way, Even when he is old he turneth not from it." As a youth ministry in Explode we believe in living lives out of the ordinary, shining so that our light cannot be ignored. For that reason we believe its important that as young people we train ourselves to live lives outside the mould or stereotype that society has for people our age. So we have decided that it is important that we teach members of Explode about a book like no other, the Bible, which is full of examples of people who did not fit the model of what was considered "normal" yet made such an impact in history that people still talk about them. This is the purpose of small groups, is a time to learn what the Bible says, the meaning of it, and most importantly how it is relevant to us today. Small groups is not a quiet study time, but its one in which you can interact, ask questions you might have been wondering for a longs time, and also get to know member of Explode better. 
We have four different small groups. Girls: 15-17s lead by Lara and Over 18s lead by Damaris. Boys 15-17s lead By Brett and Over 18s lead by James. We meet every fortnight at CCCWL(where Explode youth takes place every Friday) on Sundays around two. But most of us usually come for the church service at 11:20, bring packed lunches, and just have a nice time before starting small groups. Its never too late to join so, why don't you try it?
